Meet the team
Leonor
Leonor holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Coimbra and began her professional career as a reporter for one of the largest private television channels in Portugal, SIC. She spent 7 years in a job that consistently challenged and motivated her, but it was marriage that eventually led her to the Alentejo region, specifically to Viana do Alentejo, where she moved in 2015.
The following year, she embarked on a new professional project, this time in the Tourism sector. At Heranças do Alentejo, she worked on promoting, publicizing, and supporting the commercialization of various rural tourism enterprises, wine tourism, and tourism animation companies. The desire to start a personal project took shape with the founding of Viti Tours, which will launch in June 2024, with Tiago as a driving force and partner.
Married with three sons, nearly 10 years after moving from Lisbon to the Alentejo, she now truly feels at home here.
Tiago
Tiago was born in Évora and raised in a small town in Alto Alentejo, Ponte de Sor. From an early age, he had a special fondness for the Alentejo countryside and its produce. He studied medicine at the University of Coimbra and returned to his birthplace to work as a Family Physician.
It was also in Évora that he met his wife, married, and had a daughter. One of his pleasures is visiting wineries and vineyards around the world whenever possible. It was after returning from one of these visits that the idea for Viti Tours emerged. The pleasure of sharing what he loves with others took shape with the invaluable help of Leonor, and thus this adventure began.
